About Core Speech
Core Speech is an Independent Speech and Language Therapy service providing highly individualised, evidence-based assessment and therapy to children and young people across Lancashire.
Core Speech is a neurodiversity affirming practice and strives to ensure that every child is given the support and tools they need to Learn, Grow and Thrive in their lives.
My name is Emma, and I am Core Speechβs owner and qualified Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.
I have vast experience working with infants and children with a wide range of communication and feeding needs, including:

After graduating from Newcastle University in 2016, Emma worked in the National Health Service (NHS) supporting children in their homes, nurseries, mainstream schools, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) environments.
In 2020 Emma embarked on an adventure and moved to Sydney where she had the opportunity to expand her clinical skills and gain experience working in private practice. Here, the idea of Core Speech was born with the aim of bringing the skills and experience Emma had developed to enhance the lives of children and their families in Lancashire.
Emma is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). Emma holds an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance. Core Speech is registered with the Information Commissionerβs Office (ICO).
